Due bichieri Gambero Rosso.
Very dark ruby purple. Firmly mineral tinged plums in the nose. Medium+ body and surprising firm tannin for the affordable price point. This will definitely improve in bottle. It also elicited a bit of a histamine reaction for me. Excellent value.

Once it opens up, this wine is delicate. Tannins are light, bright fruits, easy drinking!

I don't know if the bottle he had was bad or what but this is one our least favorite bottles we have opened in recent memory.

Very polished. Rather unlike a montepulciano. Good, but not what I like.
