Due bichieri Gambero Rosso.
Very dark ruby purple. Firmly mineral tinged plums in the nose. Medium+ body and surprising firm tannin for the affordable price point. This will definitely improve in bottle. It also elicited a bit of a histamine reaction for me. Excellent value.

100% Montepulciano from hillside single-vineyard, Riparosso is a great entry-level Montepulciano. Ruby with aromas of juicy black fruits with a little spice. On the palate this simple wine shows flavors of cherry and blackberry with cacao notes. Medium body, with fine tannins, medium finish ending with sweet fruit. Nice value.

Lighter bodied wine. Medium tannins. Stronger acidic finish. Darker cherries with a earth finish. Younger wine. Needed more time.

Once it opens up, this wine is delicate. Tannins are light, bright fruits, easy drinking!

Had the in the 2018 vintage about a year ago, this a year older and a year later…. Much better. Time fixes everything, well most things…or shall we say in this case time is your friend
