Pretty classic Barolo with a bit of bottle age. Rich nose has spice, rich macerated cherry, leather, gravel. On the palate the flavors are savory and intense, with zingy acids. Still lots of fairly fine-grained tannin in the puckery finish. Drinks beautifully now with food (we had it with a red wine and sausage risotto), but perhaps a little demanding on its own.
