Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. The 2013 Inferno Sesto Canto Riserva pours a luminous, pale garnet color with a transparent core. Medium+ viscosity and no staining of the tears. The nose is soaring out of the gate with remarkably pretty red fruit notes: strawberries, raspberries, cherries, red flowers, rocky earth and exotic spices. On the palate, medium+ tannins and medium+ acid. Confirming the notes from the nose. The finish is long and hugely satisfying. The 2013 Inferno Sesto Canto is inimitable in its purity and elegance. A wine of class. This was a beautiful pairing with risotto age shaved truffles. Drink now and through 2033.

Wow!
N:Mushrooms and cherries anyone. Root beer, cedar, glorious !
P: When you taste this, it explodes and fills your entire mouth. Browns, reds, oranges, a multicolored experience. No heaviness here.
Sassafras again ( root beer) cedar, spice, meat,
This is alpine Nebbiolo that’s gone to heaven. At least 50 yr old vines at 450m southern exposure, picked and carried by hand. At least 6 yrs combined big wood and bottle before release.
Thanks@FassSelections

Brilliant aromas of forest floor, mushroom, mid season cherries, dried roses, red roses, herbs, spices and just super mesmerizing. Wow. Ethereal. Just insane. 9.8. Heavenly Nebbiolo. Again a perfect orb. Nothing out of place and god damn this is so refined. Stunning purity and clarity. Long finish and fruit is ripe but nowhere near “too ripe.” Inferno is the warmest vineyard. Wow this is amazing. Nose gets some sort of chocolate. Super concentrated and so sapid.

Perhaps the shyest of the 2013 riservas we’ve yet tried. High acid, balsamico. Attenuated nose—forest floor, mushroom, hint of leather. Very presentable, but perhaps needs a bit more time to come together.

Ruby coloration. Medium translucency. On the nose, cherry, red licorice, spice and balsamic. On the palate, medium body, cherry, cola, earth, umami. Long finish of earthiness. On the acidic side. Not much in the way of tannins. Interesting wine. Not my normal preference.
