Saved my last bottle of this to share with my grandfather, whose father emigrated from Arzignano just after WWI, which is about 10 miles from Soave.

Straw, peach, melon, pistachio, honey, and dry stone. Seems both racy and waxy if that's somehow possible.

Total steal for $14. Juicy stone fruit & citrus, bright acidity.

A supple quaffer, well balanced and interesting. Racy and herbal nose with pear, lime, gooseberry and grass. Creamy on palate but still fairly lively, garganega and chardonnay own the palate, while sauv blanc dominates nose. A decent party or summer slogging drop.

The dark almost glowing orange color caught my eye on the shelf as I wandered over to this 2014 white from Veneto: this might be ever so slightly tired, but it still has beautiful aromatics full of yellow/orange fruit from apricots & peach to tangerine & pineapple, there was candied ginger and honeydew melon, we just sat around calling out fruit like it was Wine Bingo! This has fattened up over time, still a decent spark of acidity w/clean finish. Paired w/chicken pesto pasta (cuz I thought fruit might have faded) - worked out OK, but more fun afterwards when it warmed up.

Bright, fruit-filled nose with notes of apricot, pineapple and candied ginger with a touch of stone. Bright, fruity and gently creamy on the palate. Fruity notes of melon and peach lead to more savory notes of fresh herbs and stone. The finish is long and bright with a touch of ginger and spice.

Perfect summer lunchtime wine. Enjoy with bbq and cheeses outdoors. Slight bubbly finish.
