Anjou Cab Franc from the Leflaives of Burgundy fame. Superb but needs air and/or time. Tannins still fairly firm but super fine. Nose has musty earth, smoke, graphite and autumnal dried leaves, with black cherries and red forest berries and wood spice on the palate. Finish is velvety smooth. Perfect balance. Saved half the bottle for tomorrow night with great reluctance.

A tense and electric wine, perfect for election night. Deep purple in the glass. Excellent acid, deep fruit with balanced tannins, aromatically intense with great earth and leather. Delicious.
