$15 wine at 7 years old. Extra points. Still great. Maybe even better.

Waiting for the Barolo to open wine...
Blind this is almost Sauvignon Blanc to me, I must be spoiled from drinking the German versions.

Pale yellow white in color. Slight sulfur or matchstick note in nose initially. Later pear and pineapple notes in nose are more apparent. Slight spritz. Off dry to dry. Lemon and pear notes in mouth. Tart on finish with candied citrus skin in aftertaste. Old vines, early Oregon planting of a largely neglected varietal. Give it a chance, a well structured and balanced food wine with lovely, slightly understated yet elegant flavor profile

Total whammy on acid right at first pour, let it open a couple hours after pouring off a glass. white peach, stone fruit, apricot? melon? tertiary notes adding lovely richness and complexity. Always enjoyed this wine
