The beer is good, but is it as good for me as an $18 bottle of wine? No. Liked the malty sweet finish from the bourbon barrel aging to offset the rye, but for the same money, I'd rather go with wine or two bottles of a hoppier tripel

Heavy bourbon and spicey rye up front. Big sweet, chewy maple syrup body balanced by floral hops. Long caramel and spice finish. This beer is not highly rated on BA, but I really like it.
