Freakin unreal: absolutely no sign of age, effusive out of the chute w/huge blackberry & boysenberry drenched in minerals & spice cake, sweet asphalt, and rose petals. Unreal concentration & elegance. Better than it’s ever showed - cross between Barolo & Cornas. Voluptuous - sturdy tannins and lingering finish.

Apr 24th, 2021Intriguing: tasted this on release w/Santiago Achaval - have followed their progress over the years. Showing well, not much signs of aging, still super inky & opaque, great density & stuffing - took 2 days to fully unwind showing black/blue fruit, leather, smoke, spice, some bell pepper, solid tannins but the finish was not as polished as I would like. All in all - a special treat. Believe I have a few more of these...
