A dry, well structured wine with light to medium body, medium plus acid, low astringency but has a slow to emerge chalkiness followed by a noticeable heat 15%abv. The aromas on the nose are confirmed on the palate with a lingering but restrained black pepper finish. Simple, fresh, $14, pass the cheese and crackers and light the fire in the fireplace. This is a sit and relax rather than a drink and think wine. There is room for both in my book.

Rich remote Duero region comes thru this lovely rich old vines Tempranillo. Strong fruit forward with great acid backbone...a bit strong... needs acid or red meat or strong cheese to balance.
