Taylor's

One small Step Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot 2017

The 20th of July 2019 signifies two momentous milestones in history:

🌒 It was the day man took one small step on the surface of the moon 50 years ago (1969)

🍷 And on that same day in 1969 Bill Taylor first stepped foot on the now renowned @taylorswines estate in South Australia’s Clare Valley

This ‘One Small Step’ 2017 Cabernet Merlot also has an older brother, the ‘One Giant Leap’ 2017 Shiraz. I was lucky enough to receive samples of both (thank you!) alongside some gorgeous MakMak moon macaroons. What a treat!

The back label tells us that it’s a medium bodied wine crafted to be enjoyed now. So what are we waiting for??

Here are our notes:

Deep garnet shade in the glass. On the nose I pick up sweet blackberries and cherries spiked with vanilla. There’s also a hint of tobacco leaf and some choccie 🍫 in there too. In the mouth it has flavours of black currant, blueberries and a richness of dried date/fig. Lots of flavour and a wonderful finish 👌

This one retails for $15 and can be found at places like Liquorland, Vintage Cellars and First Choice Liquor shops.

This wine was sent to me as a sample, I was under no obligation to post about it.

All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy!
