Tumbarumba Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Anyone keen on a glass of Sauvignon Blanc with some roasted spatchcock with artichoke, clams and prosciutto? It’s just one of the tasty recipes you can look forward to in the @wineselectors 2020 Calendar Case (another great Christmas gift idea!).

I was lucky enough to receive a sample case to try out (thank you!) and it’s safe to say I was drooling over the calendar and recipes put together by winery restaurant chefs. This one is by Troy Rhoades-Brown of Hungerford Hills restaurant who has matched it to the 2018 Sauvignon Blanc from Tumbarumba (Riverina region, NSW).

Unfortunately there’s no spatchcock available around where I live, however it’s safe to safe we enjoyed the Sauvy!

In the glass it’s a lemon-lime shade. The nose is full of fresh passionfruit, melon, capsicum and lemongrass. While in the mouth it’s lovely and textural with that melon flowing through and a hint of saltiness.
