Got my first shot of the Biontech/Pfizer vaccine today, time to celebrate. After recently trying the surprisingly good 2007 I have turned to the 2008. JS rated this 100 points and others have it 98+. For me it’s not quite there yet, but it might get there in a few more years or who knows in a few hours after this gets more air. This is such a typical Comtes, such an unmistakable character that lets the Chardonnay shine. The balance of citrus and fruit flavors is amazing and lingers in the mouth forever. Definitely one of the greatest years for the Comtes, perhaps indeed the best yet. I look forward to storing the remaining bottles for a few more years.
