Deep Ruby and a very restrained style of Napa Cab made by Kirk Venge. I like the balance between bright black fruit like blackberry, cassis, black Cherry and cola with subtle earthy notes of forest floor, leather, mocha and mint. This has lots of finesse. Ripe Tannins but will be better in two years. FYI this contains a fair amount of declassified cab from Beckstoffer vineyards like Missouri Hopper.

Meat and potatoes with balanced Napa Cab. Dark, dark red on the eye. The nose is full of blackberry, plum, oak and vanilla. The mouthfeel is powerful yet velvety with dark fruit, vanilla and a soft chocolaty finish. Young but precise Napa Cab, very enjoyable with a certain bravado. Cheers.
