Great mineral and acid - also struck match sulphury notes. Muted fruit on nose. Noticeable oak. With these GC White Burgundies the oak is usually very evident in the wine’s youth which balances out at 7 to 10 years. Vines are more than 40 years old. Again, huge potential: Jancis says of the drinking window: 2025 to 2040. From one of the most reputable White Burgundy producers in Leflaive.

What a great honor to taste the full lineup of Leflaive with Mr. Brice. No Montrachet Grand Cru for 2016 since 16 was a very difficult vintage. But still Leflaive didn’t fail to impress!

Magnificent year and equally magnificent wine. All about elegance and finesse. Round and round and round.
