Rías Baixas Albariño

A blend of 85% Albariño and 15% Treixadura, grapes from the Contado do Tea subzone and the Salnes subzone, aged on lees for 9 months, pale lemon with aromas of citrus and tropical fruits. On the palate pronounced flavors of melon and lemon with hints of toasty notes from lees aging. Long finish, vivid acidity, ending with fruit and smoky character. Will age well. Tasting Sample!

Brilliant, green-hued straw. Bright and incisive on the highly perfumed nose displaying an array of fresh citrus and orchard fruit scents that are complemented by suggestions of chalky minerals, quinine and sea salt. Dry, taut and precise on the palate, offering bitter lemon pith and pear skin flavors that unfold slowly while maintaining urgency. I quite enjoyed this. Not complex on the palate yet the aromatics are very pleasing. A great summer beverage.
