Great weeknight wine. Medium intensity nose of ripe cherry and sweet berries, along with stony gravel scents. A bit more intense in the mouth than the nose suggests, with lots of savory-tinged cherry, old barrel notes, and stony minerals. No tannin left, and with good transparency and acids, it will go well with our pork cutlet parmigiana.

Very good Chianti. Very complex - many layers of fruit. Long finish, great balance. Most amazingly a total steal. Wine Spectator Top 100 2018, 94 points. I am not quite there, but let this wine rest a little. Glad I bought a case :-).

Man I don't know, this wine is a bit of a mystery to me. I bought a case based on Decanters big review. But I just don't get it. Absolutely nothing wrong with it. But it is entirely forgettable to me. Still very pleasant, but a bit of a let down.

Nice solid structure wrapped around licorice and leather with dark fruits and earth. A nice affordable expression of Chianti.

Glad I bought as much as I could of this 2016. In fact I should have taken more. The wine had too strong acidity on opening. After 1 hour of decanting and with the temperature rising the fruit took up space. Ripe fruit on cherries and blackberries. An aftertaste of herbs and tobacco. A fairly good length ... still young and will be very beautiful in 5 to 6 years
