Gorgeous Easter Wine. Honeysuckle and white wild flowers jumping out of the glass, smelling lush and sweet. It’s dry though, high levels of acid but nothing chalky. Instead, tropical and stone fruits, peaches, a bit of salt yet very floral. Soft and smooth, not too creamy.

Weekly Wednesday Wine Committee. Incredible hosting by Joe. 1 sparkler, 3 whites, 4 reds, 1 dessert wine, all tasted blind.

I called this Marsanne/Roussanne Blend, so I was pretty close. It was waxy and had smoked honeycomb with sea salt. Savory in character but light.

Leaps from the glass with honeysuckle and white peach. Slightly richer on the palate showing additional pear and some toasted white oak leading to a nice rich finish. A great winter time white that should improve over a few years but is delicious now.

Flavors of alcohol, paint remover, and nose of turpentine.

The aromatics are insane. Floral and fruit jumps from the glass. Blueberry. Honeysuckle. Bright and lovely. The body is substantial and requires food. Thick and rich. Opening took over 45mins.

Young however it was ready to drink. Lots of supple citrus. Would recommend another year or so in the bottle. Potential for a great white Northern Rhône!

Straw-yellow in color. Aromas of cream and citrus (like lemon meringue pie), vanilla, minerality, and grass. Balanced combination of sweet and acidic, and a smooth yet crisp finish.
