Unlike older Scarecrows, this vintage was ready to drink at the onset with its wonderful aromatics of currants, tobacco, and floral bouquet. On the pallet was an excellent balance of spices and dark berries. This full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon can't be beat when it comes to complex Napa wines.

Deep ruby colored. Plum, cassis, red fruit. Full bodied. Tight on the open, aeration required now. But during dinner it kept getting better and better as it opened. First 2017 I’ve tried, I’ll wait several years for the rest. Beautiful long finish and gorgeous mouth feel. Spectacular wine that’ll get even better with time.

What a treat. Loads of plums, currants, black raspberries and red berries. The wines most notable characteristic is the long elegant finish and a hint of minerality. The 2017 could use another 4-8 yrs in the bottle.
