Dark violet color that is very dense. Smells like fruity jam...strawberries or blackberries. Taste starts fruity and ends with smoke or earth. Medium high tannin. Medium acidity. Burn at back of throat from alcohol that lingers. Overall very good but the smoky flavor just isn’t for me. For $18 I wouldn’t buy again.
