Vintage 2015 | great effort: black fruit, cherries, vanilla, laurel and eucalyptus. Yes, indeed: classic. Good acidity, starts to come in its prime. Paired with ribeye from the grill.

Wine comes from a 17-acre portion of the Peyrabon estate in Pauillac. Contains a high proportion of Cab Sauv. Dark Ruby with aromas of black fruit and spice. On the palate flavors of black fruits, oak and vanilla spice. Firm rustic tannins, ending with oak and earthy notes on a medium finish, drinking well now.

Drank 1/19/18. Walk around tasting. Tasting pour.

Nose of plum, black cherry, violets, and a touch of earth. Not nearly as tight as i would expect for a '15 with cassis, plum, earth, and cedar. Medium body. Long finish.

3/21/8/4/4 + 50 = 90 pts.

Think we had a bad bottle.

Tasty, fruity and good smell. Somewhat dry, but wets the mouth. Flavorfully and light.

Knew what I was doing by now. Great base to develope from. Worth buying a case.
