Of course I had to make sure I had a #nzwine on #SauvBlancDay (first Friday in May every year). I actually saw that @winesearcher were drinking this so when I spotted it in the Chateau Guildford Cellarbrations for about $25 a bottle - I couldn't resist! This is a single-vineyard organic wine. Babich actually was the first vineyard to achieve sustainable registration in NZ by the way!
Yellow green colour on the eye with notes of pineapple, orange and a touch of fresh mint on the nose. It's very smooth on the palate with citrus and kiwiberries coming through alongside minerality. It's definitely not your a-typical Kiwi Sauv Blanc. A fabulous wine that I'll definitely buy again.
All opinions are based on my own taste buds. Wine is subjective & always evolving, so make sure you drink what you enjoy! #tcweekdaywine #tctastingnotes
