Don't freaking get this wine. It's a cider basically. Rusty crown seal when first opened, which I thought may have compromised the wine. Asked some people experienced with this pet nat and apparently, that's normal. Nothing wrong at all when they tasted.
Bacterial when first opened. I smell this all the time when we forget spilled wine in an unseen corner of the winery. Blew away though, to some really cidery notes. The chenin does show it's honeyed straw like characters. Also certain they may be some brett going on somewhere - that metallic nature that persist all the way to the finish. Sweet pickle notes and definitely some earthiness. Drink this if you're looking for a somewhat complex cider.
