2015. Young. Intense. Complex. Ready to age more than a few more years. Can't recall when I last had a Zinfandel with this much gravity, elegance, and oomph. If I had a dollar for every time I said wow tonight, I could buy another bottle of this. Joel Peterson and his son Morgan Twain-Peterson know their way around this grape. Wow.

Lovely effort for Joel Peterson and his son Morgan's new project. Vibrant red fruits evolve over a plush, rich palate. Should only get better with more time in the bottle.

Loaded with blackberry with a touch of raspberry, and hints of brown sugar and spice add complexity without disrupting the purity of the fruit. It tightens up with air and tannin becomes more prominent, suggesting that it is in a bit of an awkward stage at the moment, but it has the balance and quality of fruit that I don’t think it will have trouble developing into something even more interesting with cellar time.
