The ‘17s just arrived so that means it was perfect timing to drink my last ‘16. @Morgan Twain-Peterson says these can age 5-10 yrs, but mine never seem to make it 5-10 months while I let all of the SVs rest in peace. A splash decant really helps the bouquet jump out on these. Rose petal, spice, and dark fruits balanced by wonderful acidity and some light tannin presence. A screaming value year in and year out.

Showing so well for it’s restraint and balance, something not often said of Zinfandel. Baking spice, herbs, raspberry fruit, tannin and acidity in harmony. Quite precise and well made.

2016. If, for some reason, God forbid, you forget why you should drink zinfandel, find one this one, or another of Morgan Twain-Peterson’s varietal offerings. Not only will it jog you memory but it will a smile on your face and in your mouth. Aromas of black fruit, earth, and spice. Bright, elegant, concentrated fruit. And for a 14.4% abv drinks waaaaaay too easily. I have enjoyed a lot of Bedrock in recent years. Some bottles better than others. Haven’t had a bad sip yet. Cheers!

Not as good as the 2015 but after a few hours gets really good—deep and layered.

Nice smooth jammy zin. Dark sweet plum with nutmeg in the finish. Hint of black pepper too but def dark fruit forward. Enjoyed it!
