Mid Ruby Red. Earthy Herbal Leathery Savoury notes of medium weight. From the Sicilian Reds I’ve had in the last few days this was one of the better ones. Balsamic - finishes dry. None of the oxidative characters experienced in some of the other aged reds we’ve had. The reason it was a little more full bodied was the inclusion of a % of Nero d’Avola.

Loving the Faro style blends from outside of Etna - Nerello M/C, Nocerra, and a few others - touch of earth with velvety spicy baked goods, WOTN @Hotel Signum in Malfa, Salina #1MS

Nearly savory and ethereal quality yet powerful. New for me!

Great nose on opening, but definitely lost its mojo after about 40 minutes... not much acidity and really flattened out. Not sure if it was the vintage or bottle, but it was definitely unusual. At Roscioli in Rome a few nights ago.
