So as one is wont to do, I was in the mood for carignan. Introducing this new friend which is wildly expressive, deep, and harmonious on all fronts. Brilliant dark fruit on the nose accented with nutty scents. Lush and velvety, balanced tannins, complex and lingering. Great stuff!

Decanted. Red fruits and fresh ground black pepper on the finish. The first night this was good with BBQ rack o lamb, but I need food in order to enjoy this. The second night it really opened up. Raspberries and strawberry and much more balanced. I enjoyed a glass before dinner! Mostly Carignan w/Grenache, Syrah, Grenache Gris, Macabou, Terret. SS

2015. The carbonic shows clearly but not enough to overwhelm the pure Languedoc fruit.
