Dow's has been producing Ports for over two centuries. One of the first to establish its own vineyards, acquiring Senhora da Ribeira, in the remote Upper Douro, in 1890 and Bomfim, in the heart of Alto Douro, in 1896. Aromas of really ripe fruits and pleasant fragrant spices. On the palate, big ripe fruit flavors, candied apple and sweet blackberries with bits of cacao and honey. Firm dusty tannins, good balance, lingering finish. Perfect right now. Tasting Sample.

Marinated mushroom magic. Grapes and raisins, cassis berry, skateboard bushing and candied violets inform an incredibly soft nose. A very blackberry and black currant reduction comes as a surprise bonus with charcoal, black pepper soaked in dry pencil wood and grape skin.
