Sobernheim Sauvignon Blanc

And now for the wine review. These are day 2 notes. Nose is electric. You can smell the acids. Plus loads of cracked rock dust, lemon-lime pith, and gooseberry Sauvignon fruit. It’s like the love child of a killer biodynamic Sancerre and a great German Riesling. And more like the Riesling. On the palate, stunningly pure citrus fruit. Phenomenal acids make it mouthwateringly juicy. (Way better than day 1.). Even though it’s not the most complex wine, it is excellent.

I love this wine. It’s the perfect split of Nahe/Sauvignon Blanc it’s got the classic SB bullshit, but also has wonderful Nahe rocks, which make this such a great wine. Palate is so mineral and precise and only like 10% SB bullshit. This is a wine of terroir......and a little bullshit.

This is my favorite German Sauvignon Blanc. No doubt. Huge opulent nose of fresh cut grass, citrus, intense minerals, such a nice balance between Sauvignon and Nahe. Palate is just delicious. Truly like the best lime liquid sweet tart you've ever had. God this has improved since I had it last. 2015 is so amazing for that combo of ripeness and just stunning grippy and present acids. Stunning finish. This is so drinkable and delicious it is borderline illegal.

Superb showing for one of the best German SB's. With one foot in Chavignol and one foot in the Nahe this has energy, depth and precision. Even on Day 3 this is still pumping fruit and minerals. And Aromas. Terrific.

the nose is great classic SB and classic minerals. Pure and zippy with super minerals. Juicy. Amazing acidity.
