So...I'm a European white wine lover but I am trying to figure out why you people like California wine. So I buy this to test the water. I loathe Chardonnay but this is different juice. 🤗 I hear CA is changing some stuff up and thats a good thing. No oak. No butter. Just crisp clear USA white wine. Keep it up Cali. I loathe oaky buttery crap. This wine is good. 👌🏽Go for it if you hate Chardonnay. This is solid for Cali that prides themselves on oak and butter because it's not oak and butter. Thank you California.

First time trying the '15 Lioco's Sonoma County Chardonnay; I think I like the '14 a bit more but I first tasted the '14 not too long ago either so I'll have to revisit this in a bit more time to be sure, in case it just needs a bit more time to unfurl, it's rather tight at the moment but still really good. Lemon curd, slightly underripe yellow apple, slightly underripe startfruit, a truckload of crushed chalk, plus a bit of creme fraiche and slight dogwood floral character as well as a bit of brioche dough from the lees treatment. The flavor profile is very similar to the '14 but a bit more taught and mineral-driven. Acid is focused with medium (+) intensity. Body is medium and perfectly rounded out by spontaneous MF. Rivals a solid Chablis or Montagny. One of the suggested pairings on the label is fish tacos and I gotta agree, I think this would be killer with that.

Hard to find a better Chardonnay that performs this well at this price. Fresh, crisp, and showing a little more lees notes and textural breadth this vintage.

I really like Lioco and this, their basic Chard, is no exception. Fairly Old World in style with lemon and a decent minerality but with a hint of the richness that is so characteristic of the area. Perfect for an evening on the roof.

pretty good not too oaky, smooth fruity slightly bitter. deserves 9 ponts. good price.

Sharp, expressive and crisp! The elements of stone, lemon and a very light oak lingers in the background. Drinks very easy as it presents closer on the scale of a Pinot Grigio then a chard: but this works quite well as the finish leaves a nice sharp citrusy finish. Good glass!
