Porcospino Northridge Vineyard Primitivo

Moderate purple red in color. Persimmon and tea notes in nose. Light body. Tea, cherry, dried persimmon notes in mouth. Some skin astringency. Coffee bitterness finish. Nice accessible PNW red

Delicious fruit, lighter body with high acidity. Drank with pizza and sushi and paired nicely.

Coffee note

Köttig doft men apelsinskal och krossade bär. Ett viss etanolig alkoholdoft som förtar. Smaken är druvtypisk. Generös med svartvinbärsgelé som tydlig smakreferens.

Not a typical Primativo (Zinfandel). Plums and spice on the nose. Cherry, coffee and tobacco on the pallet. Hint of sweetness. Long finish. Interesting.

And now for something completely different. Primitivo is supposed to be an ancestor of Zinfandel but this is nothing like it. Perfumed spicy red fruit (persimmon?), ripe but elegant, in a low aciditic, barely tannic immediate style. Fascinating and confusing all at once.
