Actually quite great considering it’s a sub-$30 bottle, from Costco. I would definitely get s few more of these and keep for a few years. Dusty, leathery, plum/fig notes. Great on its own or with steak.

Certainly more elegant than many CNDP. Nice complexity with black cherry, medicinal, anise, strawberry compote, vanilla and herbs. For what it lacked in concentration, it delivered on intrigue.

Beautifully funky on the nose. Leathery and dusty with dark cherry fruit in the background. Soft tannins and long finish. Great QPR!

Brick colored with a nose of raspberries, cloves, thyme, and leather. Medium body with nice balance. Old world style and would seem to be food friendly. Good balance with nice acidity. Decent finish.

Here’s the deal... this is fab but it needs 10 years and 2 hours before its worth it. I wish I had the patience....

I liked this. Rated up about a point for price and working with food. This has blackberry, stewed plum, and blueberry fruit. I decanted for about an hour. After that, the fruit was still taking a bit of a back seat to cocoa, black pepper, and coffee grounds. With just a little more time the fruit came to the front. There’s good acidity and moderate tannins. This was a good match for duck galantine stuffed with pork and herbs.
