Jacques Lemenicier
Cornas AOC Syrah
Big fruit great balance. Grapes. Drinking great but still feels like it could go a bit longer

Feb 25th, 2017Wow. The woman at the winery warned me that this wine is very ripe and young, and usually would not be suitable for drinking for another 4.5 years. I can see what she means. Huge, ripe blueberry fruit dominates the usual Cornas terroir of lead, granite, thyme and crushed flowers, making for a delicious treat, albeit obviously a baby meant to be brought up properly over the next half decade. Buy and cellar if you can.
