The 2015 Les Carmes Haut-Brion is the first vintage vinified with 100% infusion, including 55% whole bunches. This has a much more intense bouquet compared to the 2014: copious blackberries, blueberry and crushed violet scents, hints of blood orange and a light cassis touch with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine density and precision, good grip, edgy tannins with clearly more mineralité percolating through the finish. Excellent. Deep Ruby with pronounced aromas of black fruit, cigar box and floral aromas. On the palate blackberry, currant and plum flavors with cacao, tobacco and oak notes. Big fine tannins, long finish, good balance ending with fruit, savory earthy herbs and toasty cedar notes. Nice!

Our last bottle at our home in London, so definitely drinking way too early. 1hr+ decant. Give this 10yrs and it has the makings of 95+! Wasn’t bad by any stretch of the imagination, but just very reserved across all facets. Very nice texture.
