Lets be honest folks, at this price point this Sangiovese/Merlot blend is great for a weeknight or slightly chilled for some pop at a tailgate -smooth cherry, a touch of herbs, and dollop of tannins. #qprsupertuscan

Oh man I was not ready for this after trying the rosso di montalcino. My first thought was imbalanced - very harsh tannins. But it's really not bad after opening up (I'm either a slow learner or too spoiled by all those tempranillos). Aerate + sit 30 to an hour. Still acidic and tannic, but much more approachable. Oh and this wine is sub-$10! So not too bad for messing around.
