2012 vintage. Really disappointing compared to prior bottles. This came across as very acidic and kind of shrill. Maybe because I drank w/o food, maybe bottle variation, maybe time/place. But disappointing nonetheless

Needs some air to open, licorice, anise, slight VA, smoke and cherry

2012 had lots of cinder-block, asphalt behind the dark fruit. I could use les alcohol here, but over-all a decent drink.

Searing youth

Delicious as always. Beautiful red fruit, great minerality, excellent acidity and the telltale hints of ash on the finish. Not crazy powerful or rich, just super enjoyable food wine...
