Dry finish for an Amarone, in that being similar to Bertani '06, but not as 'rocky' and masculine. Soft, semi-ripe dark purple prunes, yet approachable and enjoyable.

Rich ripe dark cherry and plum (and of course the usual date/raisin notes - this *is* Amarone after all). Tommasi is all about smooth textures and aromatics, but the underlying structure has yet to completely evolve to where this is an outstanding wine. Quite excellent, but I should know better than to drink an Amarone with less than 10-15 years of bottle age. Still highly recommendable. With pork chop this was the bomb!
