Black cherry, black raspberry, mushroom, earthy. 2012 but still plenty of fruit. Nice acidity, retained tannins. Really nice

Such a steal. Earth, barnyard, grippy tannins, perfectly ripened black fruits. Paired beautifully with filet, mushroom risotto and reduction sauce. You can’t go wrong with Jose Pastor’s book of stellar value wines. Uncompromising, serious, elegant, delicious.

Meaty au jus. A hearty stew or liver and onions would pair well with this. SS

A two parcel Ull de Llebre (Catalan clone of Tempranillo), but we would've pegged it for Italian Aglianico or perhaps Bandol if tasted blind. Big rustic tannins, black fruit, blood & earth. This makes me crave a dry-aged ribeye in a bad way!

Opened in 2019 and drinking beautifully. Black fruit, black pepper, thyme, soil with a savory finish of rare meat. Medium+ acidity and good tannic structure.

Has a ton of potential, but the parts aren't quite singing together just yet. Nice nose and very rustic, with deep earthy fruit. Tannins are a bit too pronounced - recommend a 3+ hour decant or a couple years in the cellar.
