Altaroses Montsant Granatxa Fina de Darmos Grenache

They went 100% whole cluster for the 2014 a la Rayas and shit. The wine is great. Pretty high toned but juicy cherry fruit, violets, herbs, but what kept my honker in the glass were these blood and potter's clay aromas. Sanguine on the palate, too. Really cool wine for very little money.

So juicy with the right amount of tannin to keep it serious. Ripe cherry and cranberry liqueur, yet incredibly fresh. This shows how Grenache stays fresh and balanced at 14%

2nd taste from bottle. Still showing depth and concentration but showing more elegant weight and texture. Tannin have shown some resolve making for a very delicious wine.

Strawberry jam, roasted plum, hint of smoke, garrigue, w pepper. Shows some grip and heft

Dried rose, cranberry, and strawberry. Herbaceous and earthy as well. Damn this is some good, old school Garnatxa.

Mejor que la botella previa que tome. Cereza, ciruela, cuero, especies.

Nariz: Cereza, regaliz, cuero

Boca: Tanino M, Acidez M/M+ Alcohol M+

Necesita aire (1hr+), abre muy cerrado. Simple.

Had it at a local bakery/pizza shop.... sooo good! Smells like delicious!

Bursty!

First thing I would say is great tannins. Wonderful heavy dose of fruits and earthiness going on. $19.00 for this wine is a total heist!
