Viña Alberdi Reserva Rioja Tempranillo

Coconut and dill. Sweet and sour component is so obvious that you can hardly miss. Medium plus acidity. Soft tannins and nice finish.

If you can't smell American oak, drink this wine. My favorite Rioja producer, by far.

Had another bottle, aged well. Deep red with aromas of bright red fruits with graphite notes. A 100% Tempranillo from several exceptional vineyards, aged in new French oak for one year then in 3-year old oak for the second year of aging. On the palate cherry and strawberry flavors with vanilla oak, earthy spice and chewy savory tannins, well balanced. Lingering finish ending with fruit characteristics. Very nice, great value.

Expressive 2ndary aromatics, cherry skin, grilled steak juice.

Bittersweet chocolate and raspberries. Loooooong finish. Better in three years or so, but SO GOOD now
