Found another '14 bottle, continuing to develop nicely. Bright straw yellow with aromas of fresh fruit, stone fruits and citrus with floral notes. On the palate, complex flavors, full and rich with peach, green apple, mango and vanilla spice. The wine had a soft mineral taste with nutty toasty oak, noting that the wine sat on French oak, (40% new). The finish was smooth with great texture and balance, time in the cellar will add benefit, an outstanding offering from Patz & Hall.

Sep 11th, 2016Delicate, buttery, but not overly oaked. Creamy mouthful, floral nose. Went well with both pork and clam pasta at Bottega. Still excellent the following day with only a Cork and fridge to keep it fresh.
