The best 2013 Barolo i've had so far. A beguiling nose of walking through an orchard, sweet red berries, wild dark roses. In the palate a full explosion of red cherries, saline notes & minerals, a bit of mint & garden herbs and and incredibly soft & noble tannin. A Barolo that is truly "living" in your mouth and palate. So good to drink now but with a great future ahead.

(Tasted at "Del Posto", La Festa del Barolo Masterclass Tasting)
One of my Top2 was Giuseppe Rinaldis "Brunate". 80% fruit from "Brunate" and 20% from "Le Coste". Of course in a state where it is not delivering all of it's power, but it was still so good with an inner harmony of Brunate fruit, happy tannins and some balsamic notes. This is Brunate to me, even though Beppe might say "it's not austere enough".

An amazing wine and an amazing experience tasting with Marta, the winemaker. Also tasted the 14, 15 and 16 from the barrel. Special.
