Cuvée Silice Pouilly-Fumé Sauvignon Blanc

Super green for the vintage. Lacking concentration. I thought it might be Quincy or a cheap Sauvignon from Gascony.

Super flinty, could use more time in bottle.

Great summer sipper. Light, a little spicy, grassy, minerals, what's not to like? Nice with a zesty salad.

Nicely aromatic-- rose florals and lemon citrus. Viscous mouthfeel. Classic flint comes out with a little air.

Nose- bright green pear,sour and earthy notes, slight floral, citrus, light sweet corn showing a bit of body. No funny or unpleasant smells. Taste- Citrus, little tart, not very aggressive on mineral or bitterness. No taste of sweetness. Crisp and refreshing. Light and pleasant. Finish lingers for a while and then the bitterness comes in. Wonderful bright crisp and mouth watering wine. Great served chilled.

Good balanced Sauvignon blanc could have been better for price though

Fabulous! Enjoyed January 29, 2016. 40 minute decant, 55 degrees. Fruit forward and mineral driven.

Such a gorgeous example of silex influenced Sauvignon blanc. A pristine example of the appellation. Thanks #sommselect
