Maybe my favorite varietal, Ellis is a fine producer. Cloudy purple red. Jam, briar, raspberry, butter and black licorice notes in nose. Raspberry and blackberry flavors, mild astringency in center front of tongue, lingering seed tannins on taste and finish. Black licorice aftertaste. Solid choice for a cheapie, always delivers
