Love these old Mascarello wines. My only complaint is these damn 720ml bottles. After decanting you're almost a whole glass down. Bottles just go to fast then.

Super sleepy on open and very green: celery, bay leaf. Has started to evolve with hints of strawberries coming to life. Stay Tuned. 1968 vintage from 50th Birthday. Update: wine opened up nicely after several hours. Dark red fruit, anise and a bit of tobacco. Lovely.

This bottle was a little tired and VA ridden but woke up a bit after decanting and being paired with wild mushrooms.
