Deep ruby color. Nose of black currants with prominent herbaceous qualities of green pepper and green tobacco leaf with little evidence of new oak. On the palate, tart red and black currants, prominent minerality, low alcohol (12.5%), and soft texture with very light, dusty tannins. Blend of 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, and 10% Petit Verdot.

Blueberries and raspberries, ripe like in warm sun, and intense, on the nose. Wish for a little more heft. But what is in keeping with its nature? Which grapes?
