Barrua Isola dei Nuraghi Carignane

Quite rich and definitely some sweet tones. Dried red fruits dominant. Excellent acidity and finish. Really nice wine.

Sassicaia roots in Sardinia... I Had no idea how good this wine really is until I tried it the other night. Holy cow this is a heck of a wine. It bears some rusticity but it is clean to the bone. Aromas of blackberry, pencil lead, iron, fruitcake, leather and spice. with some savory notes as well. (With some time being open I find dried herbs, cured meats and the like) This beauty has a long finish of dark mocha chocolate and roasted coffee. Out of this world..... I carry this wine for a song, so let me know if you've had it or want any..:

Great nose this wine has. Inky, pencil wood and dark chocolate.
However in the mouth the wine stays a bit “hard”, too much for my liking. On the third day that was a little less but not gone at all.

Complex and smooth

Smells of Red fruits, special of cherry. Taste of fine Tanine. Very Elegant. Very deep structure.

One of my stand by favorites that never disappoints.

Slightly smokey with subtle tobacco nose. Beautiful dark color. Silky texture. Dark fruits. Long finish with a peppery note.
