Would have thought this was a Bordeaux if didn’t look at the label.

A New Washington wine to me. Not fruit forward like many Washington wines. Dark fruit, forest floor, leather. Lots of tannin. I’m buying this wine. A real bargain. Better then a lot of more expensive wines. A real sleeper!

A real stunner from Maggie Hedges. Fantastic structure, tannins. One of those wines that stands athwart Old World structure and New World profile. Inky purple, classic Cabernet nose of cedar, tannins. 2014 a bit young, just starting to integrate. Beautiful structure and finish. Silky without being cloying. Food-friendly. Happy 4th! 🍷🍷💥💥
