SUCH tasty, concentrated, unctuous Riesling. Wow. Love these rich Pfalz 2013s. Quite rich for a Kabinett but not whatsoever cloying or lacking freshness. A noticeable botrytis influence. Pours a medium intensity slightly burnished gold hue. Explosively aromatic nose of ripe white peach, ripe mango, orange marmalade and honey, cardamom, lychee, wet stone, and the tiniest bit of TDN petrol character. The palate is equally concentrated and shows the same rich, ripe honeyed fruit, marmalade, cardamom, and wet stone. High acidity that is balanced by a decent amount of RS, firmly off-dry and a bit on the sweeter side as far as Kabinetts go. Medium (-)/medium body wth great glycerine texture from RS , botrytis, and I think probably some lees influence as well. Alcohol is low/medium (-) and not noticeable at all. One of those great wines that are simultaneously intellectual and just so ridiculously, deliciously gulp-able.
