Ripe berries, dried herbs, love the finish and acidity. Very fun to drink.

Beautiful: floral, herbal, and pure red fruits. Very good example of Mencía (90%, with 10% other grapes inc. Garnacha).

Pretty wound up and tight.
Bright fruit and acid. Kind of burly actually.

Rustic in its wild fruit, earth and herbal flavor profile, but not as much texturally--has the creaminess and polish (and a hint of dill) from oak barrel ageing. Wanted a bit more finesse and dynamic range of flavors but solid

Mulberry, blueberry compote, white pepper, game, violets, balsamic, sun dried tomatoes, rust, dried mint. Rounded acid/minimal smooth velvet tannin balance, medium bodied, juicy-silky texture, long fruity-floral finish. Gamay-like in aromatics, fruit forward midpalate with enough structure to handle red meats while not overpowering seafood or white meats. Quaffable in its youth, gains texture and finesse with age.

Creamy body, strong berry notes but no jammy flavors, dry, crisp, herbal finish.

Decanted for one and a half hour. A bit of sediment on the bottom of the bottle. Otherwise clear, opaque and dark red with some blueish/purple tones. Young. Spices and dark berries on the nose. Very fruity, mineral and fragrant. Fresh. Nice acidity. Herbs and violets. Wild fruit. Some licorice, vanilla and oak notes. Medium body. Medium tannins. Memorable finish.

El vin d'avui, todays wine, Sonntags-Wein:
Earthy and herbal notes in the nose, black currant and a bit of mint. rich but not too fullbodied in the mouth, very pleasant acidity and a very well-balanced tannin structure.
